For a population of around 112,000, SWDC is surprisingly one of the largest private employer in the Stung Treng area and the first handicraft project. Stung Treng Women's Development Center has expanded and developed to meet needs of our community and the constant growth and interest in our mekong blue silk.
Those employed at and supported by SWDC have found increased confidence, improved livelihoods and feel empowered to plan and make decisions for themselves and the future. The women, men and children at SWDC have shown us that when you offer an opportunity and support anything is possible.
